Sofia Claremont is kidnapped on her seventeenth birthday and brought to an island where the sun never shines. She becomes the slave of the most powerful vampire, Derek Novak, whom has recently awakened from four hundred years of sleep.
This is a wonderful story told from the viewpoints of both Sofia and Derek. The book is very well written and hard to put down. The characters are believable and the story line interesting and new. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
