Ex-sniper/wolf shifter Jared River plans to take out anti-shifter politician Senator Krepky. Meanwhile, he discovers Krepky’s daughter, Grace, is a wolf shifter. Jared needs to convince Grace to help him stop her father, or he needs to go back to his original plan.
I loved Alisa Woods’ Jared. It had everything you could possibly want: mystery, romance, politics, action, wolf shifters, family, the list keeps going.
Grace Krepky is a great character. She has been hiding her wolf identity and not understanding what it means to be a wolf, having no guidance. She is a loyal daughter who has helped her father as his campaign manager. She is intelligent and has a great sense of what is right and wrong.
Jared is broken. Between losing his mate and the number of people he has killed for his country as a sniper, he has become an empty shell of a man. My heart completely went out to him.
Grace and Jared came into each other’s lives at the perfect time. They need each and support each other.
I loved the plot. It was extremely exciting with many twists. It had conflicts from the previous books that helped tie the series together; not to mention, an intriguing and unexpected ending that plays right into the spin-off Wilding Pack series. I cannot wait to read it. I love the River Pack Wolves Series. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys paranormal wolf shifter stories.
