Natasha Madison scores with Something So Right. NHL Captain and Star, Cooper Stone, rehabs with Parker, after suffering from an injury. The two have a rocky start, but afterward sparks fly. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.
I like Parker. She is a single mom of two wonderful kids, Matthew and Allison. Her confidence was understandably hurt after her husband cheated on her, leading to their divorce. She is hardworking and loves hockey.
Cooper is very persistent and caveman alpha. He is an exceptional hockey player. I love that he appreciates Parker and accepts everything about her. He loves her and her kids. They give him something he never really had.
I love that Cooper and Parker didn’t initially get along. They have great chemistry. There are a lot of sex scenes in this book. I have to admit that I skimmed a few. I read over 200 books a year, and sometimes I just want to get to the plot. While I appreciate the chemistry between the couple, I would have been okay with fewer sex scenes. Parker and Cooper are really good for each other. Parker gives him a sense of belonging he never had, and Cooper gives Parker her confidence back. The two complement each other well and are a great couple.
Cooper’s ex-girlfriend, Meghan, is out of hand. She causes some interesting conflicts. I have to say I don’t think Cooper was very smart about getting involved with the team owner’s daughter, but it made a good story.
I loved the championship hockey game with Parker’s son Matthew. I found Parker’s shock at him swearing amusing. He is definitely growing up. I’m currently going through similar things with my hockey playing son, so I could relate.
Something So Right by Natasha Madison was an entertaining story. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I like Meghan and Tom. I wouldn’t mind hearing their story and seeing this book turn into a series.
